Cinnamon Palmiers

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp truvia(R) natural sweetener or 3 packets
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (1/2 pound)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line two baking pans with parchment paper.
  2. Combine truvia(R) natural sweetener and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  3. On lightly floured surface, roll out the pastry dough into a large rectangle, about 15 by 12 inches.
  4. Use a pastry brush to spread butter all over the pastry.
  5. Sprinkle cinnamon mixture evenly over the pastry and roll inward from the outsides of the tow long sides (like a scroll) until they meet in the middle.
  6. Brush the pastry with the water where it meets to hold together.
  7. Slice the pastry crosswise int0 1/4-inch palmiers and lay them on the prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake until they puff and turn evenly golden brown, about 15 minutes.
  9. Cool and serve at room temperature.
