Easy Brownie Shortcake Dessert


  • 1 pkg (19 to 21 oz) brownie mix
  • 1 container (16 oz) BREAKSTONE’S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream, divided
  • 1 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups cut-up mixed kiwi and fresh strawberries


  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Prepare brownie batter as directed on package and stir in 1/2 cup sour cream.
  3. Spoon into greased and floured 9 inch round pan.
  4. Bake 45 minutes and cool 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from pan to wire rack and cool completely.
  6. Mix remaining sour cream, COOL WHIP, sugar and vanilla.
  7. Cut brownie horizontally in half and stack layers on plate, filling with half the sour cream mixture.
  8. Top with remaining sour cream mixture and fruit.
