Hot Spiced Cider


  • 1 cup Truvia(R) natural sweetener or 24 packets
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 1/2 inch slices peeled fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 quarts fresh apple cider


  1. Combine Truvia(R) natural sweetener, water, cinnamon and ginger in a heavy pot and bring to a simmer for 15 minutes, until Truvia(R) natural sweetener is dissolved and the syrup is deeply spiced. Set aside.
  2. Before serving, add the syrup, lemon juice and cider in a pot and keep warm over low heat (without boiling) until ready to serve.
  3. Serve with a cinnamon stick and  slice of lemon, if desired.
