Spiced Rice Pilaf

Ingredients

  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 cups broth
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds

Directions

  1. Saute onion in oil and butter for 2 minutes.
  2. Add rice, cumin, cinnamon and broth and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Add dried cranberries and almonds.
