Crunchy Fudge Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 6 oz butterscotch bits
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 4 cups Rice Krispies
  • 2 tablespoons soft butter
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 6 oz semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Melt butterscotch and peanut butter over low heat until well-blended in double boiler.
  2. Remove and add Rice Krispies.
  3. Press half into buttered 9X13 pan and chill.
  4. Combine chocolate chips, sugar, butter and water in double boiler and stir over low heat until well-blended.
  5. Spread over chilled cereal mixture.
  6. Spread remaining cereal mixture evenly on top.
  7. Chill and remove from fridge 10 minutes before cutting.

    I got this recipe from my Aunt Pauline. She always makes them for our annual family reunion in the summer. I think they’re so delicious and wanted to recipe to make them for my friends in high school. Total success!
