Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 16 oz pasta sauce
  • 2 tbsp parsley
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 16 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup parmesan and 1/2 cup mozzarella for top

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Brown meat and drain.
  3. Return to pan and add pasta sauce and seasonings.
  4. Simmer until heated through.
  5. Meanwhile, cook pasta as directed.
  6. Prepare ricotta by adding parmesan, mozzarella, egg and seasonings.
  7. Lay one layer of noodles down
  8. Add meat sauce, leaving a little for on top.
  9. Add another layer of noodles.
  10. Add cheese mixture.
  11. Add last layer of noodles.
  12. Top with remainder of meat sauce and cheese on top.
  13. Bake for 45 minutes.
  14. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
