Nutella-Mallow Pillow Pockets

  • 1 package puff pastry, 2 pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 egg white whisked with 1 tbsp water
  • granulated sugar and powdered sugar for dusting

  1. Thaw puff pastry as directed on package.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Cut each pastry sheet into equal size pieces. (The Picky Palate recipe calls for 4 equal pieces, but I made 9 so they were smaller.)
  4. Spread a dollop of Nutella onto the center of each pastry leaving a 1/2 inch borer around edges.
  5. Top each with a few mini marshmallows and fold over to form a little triangle.
  6. Crimp edges firmly with the tines of a fork.
  7. Brush with egg white wash and then sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  8. Bake until pastry just turns golden. (The Picky Palate recipe calls for 22-25 minutes, but I only baked mine for 17 since they were smaller.)
  9. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes, sprinkle with powdered sugar and then serve!
