Cheesy Asparagus


  • 1 lb asparagus spears (about 16), trimmed
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup MIRACLE WHIP Dressing
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese


  1. Microwave asparagus and water in covered 2 quart microwaveable casserole on HIGH for 5 to 6 minutes or until asparagus is crisp-tender and drain.
  2. Mix remaining ingredients in microwaveable bowl and microwave 2 minutes or until cheese is melted and sauce is well-blended, stirring after each minute.
  3. Serve over asparagus.

    My mom and I made this recipe for Thanksgiving dinner this year. Instead of Miracle Whip though, we used flour. It ended up tasting kind of bland, we assume because of the lack of Miracle Whip, so we added Worcestershire sauce, which helped a little. Nonetheless, it was easy to prepare and pretty good to eat once we were done. Yummy asparagus!
