Brownies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2/3 cup butter, melted – divided
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350.
  2. Combine cocoa and baking soda in large bowl.  Blend in 1/3 cup melted butter.
  3. Add boiling water and stir until well-blended.
  4. Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining butter.
  5. Add flour, vanilla and salt.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour into greased 9X13 pan.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
